Government considers making Kannada the official language in the state

During the question hour in the legislative assembly, Education Minister R. Chennigaramayya stated that the government is considering making Kannada the official language in the state. The Minister also mentioned that the government is reviewing the issue of increasing debarment for non-gazetted employees and that central government employees in the state receive higher debarment along with house and city allowance.
