GATDWU demands withdrawal of condition for PF withdrawal

The Government and Textile Workers Union (GATDWU) has demanded the withdrawal of the central government's new policy regarding PF. GATDWU President R. Prathibha and Secretary K. R. Jayaram submitted a memorandum to Union Minister of Labour and Employment Mansukh Mandavi and Shobha Karandlaje. They stated that under the new rule, only 75% of the PF account is given upfront for reasons like children's education, illness, or building a house, while the remaining 25% must be kept in the PF account and can only be received after waiting 12 months.
