Fraud, fake documents, and illegal release from jail exposed in Bengaluru case

A major fraud case involving the creation of fake documents and illegal release from jail has been exposed in Bengaluru. The case came to light after the accused's wife revealed the truth, alleging that the accused had abandoned her after his release. During the investigation, it was found that Somashekhar, who was the superintendent at Parappan Angrahara Jail in 2018, had helped Shanker, who was serving life imprisonment for kidnapping and murder, to be released from jail. Police arrested Shanker and Sreekanth, a staff member of the Convict's Department, due to non-cooperation. During the investigation, police found that the DIG had made a video call to Shanker's wife, where Somashekhar allegedly instructed her to become undressed.
