Former DIG Somashekhar arrested for allegedly forging release order of convict

Parappa Nagar police arrested former DIG Somashekhar in connection with the case of convict E. Shankar's release. The investigation revealed that Somashekhar, along with Srikanth, allegedly used the convict's wife and forged a Supreme Court order to release E. Shankar from Parappa Nagar Jail. Somashekhar, who currently serves as DIG of the Central Jail Department in Kalaburagi North Zone, was arrested by Parappa Nagar Police.
