FIR filed against IAS officer and three others for alleged assault and abuse at a pub in Cubbon Park

Police stated that an FIR has been filed against an IAS officer from Andhra Pradesh cadre and three others. The charges relate to alleged abuse and assault on police inspectors and their colleagues during a surprise check at a pub in the Cubbon Park Police Station area. The incident occurred around 1:30 AM on October 10, during a surprise check conducted under an order from the Bengaluru City Police Commissioner. The FIR was registered under sections 115(2), 351(2), 352, 132, and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Cubbon Park Police Station.
