Fatal crash sparks demand for Kaggalipura bypass in Bengaluru

Members of the Rajya Raitha Hitarakshana Sangha staged a protest on Kanakapura Road in south Bengaluru on Tuesday. The protest demanded the long-pending Kaggalipura bypass following a series of accidents on the busy stretch. The protest followed a trailer lorry collision with a two-wheeler travelling from Kanakapura towards Bengaluru, which resulted in the death of rider Nagaraju (40) of Thalaghattapura. Protesters blamed the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for failing to take adequate measures to prevent recurring accidents.
