Expert Committee Meets in Bengaluru to Discuss Sugarcane Price Issues

A committee of experts formed by the central government held a meeting in Bengaluru on Thursday regarding the ongoing struggle of sugarcane growers in Karnataka. During the meeting, Ramesh Chandra, a member of the Policy Commission and head of the committee on sugarcane growers' issues, held discussions with farmer representatives, sugar factory officials, sugar mill owners, and various experts from industry. The committee is set to submit a report to the central government, which may lead to the central government announcing decisions regarding sugarcane and sugar prices.
