Ex-Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao urges central government to review citizenship and visa status of YouTuber Dhruv Rathee

Bhaskar Rao, former police commissioner, has written to the central Ministry of Home Affairs requesting a review of the citizenship, immigration status, and visa conditions of YouTuber Dhruv Rathee. The letter states that Rathee, who is believed to hold German citizenship, participated in a protest in Bengaluru on October 8, 2026. Rao also mentioned that Rathee criticized the Election Commission of India regarding the 'Special Intensive Revision' (SIR) of the voter list.
