ED seeks custody extension of IAS officer Gyanendra Kumar Gangwar in KPSC scam probe

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) informed a Bengaluru court that its findings on the KPSC recruitment scam go beyond those of the CID. The ED sought an extension of custody for key suspect IAS officer Gyanendra Kumar Gangwar before a special court in Bengaluru on Saturday. The ED's investigation revealed that out of Rs 1.5 crore allegedly collected by Kannale from candidates, Rs 1.3 crore was paid to Gangwar in cash. The probe also found that Gangwar gave Kannale 70-80 questions and answers on an HP pen drive on January 7, two days before the scheduled exams.
