EC halts physical SIR hearings in Karnataka, shifts to doorstep document collection in Bengaluru

The Election Commission (EC) halted all physical Special Intensive Revision (SIR) hearings across states, effective September 26. Instead, the Chief Electoral Officer, Karnataka, announced that Booth-Level Officers (BLOs) will visit flagged voters' homes to collect and upload necessary documents. The poll body also instructed District Election Officers (DEOs) to create help desks for voters who wish to submit documents.
