DK Shivakumar states Guarantee Schemes cause financial difficulty, suggests revisions for local voters

In an interview, DK Shivakumar stated that the Guarantee Schemes have caused financial difficulties for the government. He mentioned that the five schemes cost ₹52,000 crore and that revisions are being made to ensure benefits are received only by eligible residents. He also stated that free bus travel benefits will be restricted to local voters, citing a cost of ₹100 crore for the smart card system.
