Diwali travel fares shock commuters; KSRTC adds 2,600 buses

Private bus operators have shocked commuters with excessive fare hikes for those traveling to their hometowns for Diwali. Meanwhile, KSRTC has provided good news by deploying 2,600 additional buses for passenger convenience. KSRTC Chief Traffic Manager Prabhakara Reddy stated that 2,600 additional vehicles have been arranged from Bengaluru to various state and inter-state locations starting today. However, private bus operators have increased fares by up to double compared to normal rates, citing the Diwali holidays.
