Development Commissioner directs adherence to standards for pedestrian paths and road works in Bengaluru

Additional Development Commissioner R. Venkatachalapathi inspected ongoing pedestrian path and road development works, street light pole installations, and subways in various key roads within the Central City Corporation area. He directed that the pedestrian path curb height be developed according to standards and that work be managed to ensure smooth connectivity between the road and the pedestrian path in K.R. Circle and Kumarakrishna Road. He also instructed officials to expand the width of the drain, which was inspected for permanent solutions to water stagnation in Sanchi Road, as the current internal width of about one foot is insufficient for proper water flow during the monsoon season. Furthermore, he directed necessary facilities for the public's safe and smooth movement near subways near K.R. Circle, including lighting, cleanliness, waste removal, and security measures. He urged the speedy completion of works to provide these closed subways as public amenities.
