Demand for increase in pension to ₹5,000 for hearing-impaired: Kshemabhivrudhi Sangha

K.H. Shankar, President of the Karnataka State Kshemabhivrudhi Sangha, demanded that the monthly pension for eligible hearing-impaired individuals be increased from ₹1,400 to ₹5,000. Speaking at the 10th anniversary and International Hearing-Impaired Day celebration held in the city on Saturday, he raised various demands for the community. He also stressed the need for providing free bus pass facilities with limited travel range and financial aid for marriage ceremonies.
