Cycle rally organized to save lakes and parks in Bengaluru

The 'Greater Bengaluru Lakes and Parks Conservation Jan Jagruti Samithi' organized a cycle rally on Sunday to advocate for the conservation of lakes and parks. The rally was inaugurated by retired IFS officer A. N. Yallappareddy, MLA Uday Garudachar, and retired IPS officer Bhaskar Rao at the Ashok Stambha. Participants cycled with placards demanding, 'Hebbal lake is dry. We don't need underground roads that drain lakes,' and 'Vibrations from underground machinery are a threat to Lalbagh lake.' The rally traversed various locations including Silk Board's KSRTP Junction, Jayanagar's Ashok Stambha, Lalbagh West Gate, and across major roads up to Hebbal's Esteem Mall.
