Couple's murder mystery revealed during site cleaning in Bengaluru

Police revealed a brutal murder case in Bengaluru, where a husband allegedly killed his wife and disposed of the body in an empty site. The incident occurred in MS Nagar Agrahar Layout near Sampigehalli. Sagar Chandra Rawat (32) and Anusuya (28), who were from Odisha, had married and worked in various hotels in the city. An argument over financial matters led Sagar to strangle Anusuya on August 11. The couple lived with the body for three days before disposing of it in an empty site. The body of an unidentified woman was found when site owners sent workers to clean the empty area, after dogs bit and ate it. Police later traced the identity of the deceased using a piece of clothing tag found on the body, leading to the arrest of the accused husband, Sagar Chandra Rawat, 20 days after the murder.
