Copra prices drop by nearly ₹3,000 per quintal: Farmers express concern

Due to increased supply and high copra availability in Tamil Nadu, the price of copra has sharply fallen in major markets like Tipaturu and Arasikeere. Copra farmers are concerned as the price dropped from ₹31,866 to ₹32,288 per quintal in Tipaturu and Arasikeere last July. Currently, the price has fallen to around ₹28,000, with transactions recorded at ₹28,030 in Arasikeere market on Wednesday and ₹27,900 in Tipaturu market on Thursday.
