Contractors protest, alleging 70% of MLAs are taking commissions; demand release of ₹38,000 crore in pending dues

The Karnataka State Contractors Association President, R. Manjunath, held a press conference, alleging that 1.5 lakh contractors have faced severe financial difficulties due to pending bill payments for the last four years. He stated that 70% of MLAs are involved in commission scams in every project. Manjunath demanded the release of ₹38,000 crore in pending dues, warning that if the government cannot resolve their issues, they will protest. He also questioned the government's use of contractor funds for welfare schemes.
