CMI Hospital in Bengaluru conducts kidney transplant through donor swap

A 15-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man underwent paediatric kidney transplant at Aster CMI Hospital in Bengaluru. The procedure was conducted through a two-way donor swap after blood group incompatibility prevented direct donation. The hospital used Alliance for Paired Donation software to identify compatible donor-recipient combinations, enabling the exchange of donors between the two families.
