CM requests release of defense land and permissions for Bengaluru development projects

Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar requested the Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to hand over defense land and grant necessary permissions for various development and infrastructure projects in Bengaluru. The CM presented seven key proposals related to Bengaluru. These include developing 730 acres of vacant land near Iblur firing range into a permanent public park and green zone. Other requests involve developing 10 notified waterlogged areas spanning 43.838 acres and securing defense land for a 24-meter road connecting Sarjapur Road from Lower Agara to Ejipura Junction. The CM also requested permission for the Bangalore Urban Vehicular Twin Tunnel Project, requiring 2.039 acres of defense land near Hebbal. The state government also requested a reduction of the license fee for the tunnel project from 33% to 2%.
