CM DK Shivakumar warns against discrimination against Kannadigas in private sector jobs

CM DK Shivakumar warned that the government will take strict action if any private organization, including IT companies, is found to be deliberately neglecting Kannadigas. He stated that the government is always committed to the interests and problems of Kannadigas. The warning came amid allegations that discrimination is happening to Kannadigas in job opportunities within private and IT companies. In a video shared by a young woman on social media, she alleged that IT companies in Bengaluru are giving preference to Telugu and Tamil speakers, and that resumes listing Kannada as the mother tongue are being rejected without direct interviews.
