CM announces increased cash prizes and job security for Asian Games medal winners

The state government honored Karnataka's athletes who won medals at the Asian Games 2026 on Tuesday. During the event at Vidhana Soudha, Chief Minister Dinesh Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara honored the athletes. The government revised the cash prize amounts for Asian Games medal winners to ₹1 crore for gold, ₹75 lakh for silver, and ₹50 lakh for bronze. Additionally, the government decided to provide ₹5 lakh each as encouragement funds to 20 Karnataka athletes who participated in the Asian Games for the first time.
