Bengaluru City Corporations fine Zepto, Instamart for waste violations

The Bengaluru East City Corporation (BECC) fined both Swiggy Instamart and Zepto Rs 5,000 each on Monday for failing to segregate waste in Priyadarshini ward, Maruthi Layout, Doddanekundi. BECC stated that the platforms were fined for not following proper waste segregation and disposal norms. Additionally, the Bengaluru Central City Corporation (BCCC) imposed fines totaling Rs 2,200 for SWM rule violations in KR Market, while BNCC fined a vehicle owner Rs 30,000 for illegally transporting animal waste in Banaswadi.
