CAG Report Highlights Financial Irregularities and Delays in Bengaluru's Key Departments

The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report has exposed serious lapses, delays, and lack of financial discipline in various departments of the Karnataka government. The report, which covers the evaluation up to March 2024, highlights administrative failures and misuse of public funds in key departments like Electronics, IT, and Biotechnology, and the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB). The CAG report noted that KIADB undertook several projects from April 2019 to March 2024 without ensuring land availability or obtaining prior environmental clearance.
