Cabinet meeting gives green signal to hike Nandini milk rates and BMTC/state transport fares

The cabinet meeting gave a green signal to increase the travel fares for Nandini milk and BMTC and state road transport buses. The government is expected to announce the milk rate hike after the Model Code of Conduct for the four constituencies in the Legislative Council comes into effect. The cabinet also gave preliminary approval to raise the bus travel fares by 10% to 13%.
