Bus ticket fares increase significantly; new rates effective from Wednesday night

Government-owned transport bus ticket fares have been significantly increased, with the new rates taking effect from Wednesday night. BMTC fares increased by 35%, and fares in other corporations, including KSRTC, increased by 23%. Transport Minister Bairadi Suresh announced the fare revision details in a press conference, stating that BMTC general bus fares increased from ₹ 4 to ₹ 12, and KSRTC, KKRTC, and NWRTC fares increased from ₹ 9 to ₹ 18, depending on the stage.
