Bus fares increase in Bengaluru following milk and curd price hike

The State Government increased bus fares of the State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) following the price hike of Nandini milk and curd. The new fares will come into effect from midnight today. KSRTC bus fares have increased by a maximum of 9 rupees, while BMTC bus fares have increased from 6 to 10 rupees per stage. Transport Minister Bhairavi Suresh announced the new fares at a press conference in Bengaluru today.
