BMTC accident insurance payout increased to ₹1 crore; ₹15 lakh via debit card

BMTC has entered into an agreement with Union Bank of India to increase the accident insurance payout for employees and their families by ₹1 crore. Previously, the insurance amount was set at ₹50 lakh. The revised agreement states that in case of an employee's death in an accident, the nominee will receive an insurance payout of ₹1 crore. Additionally, employees with permanent and partial disabilities earning less than ₹25,000 will receive ₹1 crore in insurance and ₹4 lakh via debit card. Those earning more than ₹25,000 will receive ₹1 crore in insurance along with ₹15 lakh via debit card.
