BESCOM to potentially exclude 1.42 lakh beneficiaries from Gruha Jyothi Scheme

BESCOM conducted a comprehensive review and physical survey over the last 4 months to determine if free electricity benefits under the Gruha Jyothi Scheme are reaching genuine beneficiaries. Reports indicate that 1.42 lakh beneficiaries in the BESCOM area either failed to participate in the survey or did not provide necessary documents. Consequently, BESCOM is considering excluding these individuals from the scheme.
