ASP Venkatesh Prasanna requests to be removed from Saujanya case SIT

ASP Venkatesh Prasanna has submitted a written request to the state government asking to be removed from the Special Investigation Team (SIT) handling the Saujanya rape and murder case. This request follows objections from the deceased student's family. The SIT was formed by the government under the leadership of IGP Shashikumar following a Supreme Court order. The team included four officers: Mangaluru Police Commissioner and DIG C.H. Sudheer Kumar Reddy, Intelligence Bureau SP Nisha James, CID SP Lokesh Jagalasar, and Bengaluru Rural District ASP Venkatesh Prasanna.
