Allegations of Irregularities in Vice-Chancellor Appointments Raised in Bengaluru

Former Chairman of the State Backward Classes Commission, C.S. Dwarakanath, alleged that the process for appointing university Vice-Chancellors is riddled with irregularities. He stated that the State Governor's office has become a center for the buying and selling of Vice-Chancellor and syndicate members' positions. Other experts also raised concerns, citing the privatization of public sector institutions and the loss of land belonging to the silk department.
