Allegations of distributing gift coupons, money, and snacks in Bengaluru teacher constituency elections

Opposition leader Chalavadi Narayanaswamy alleged that Congress candidate Puttanna is distributing gift coupons, flasks, tiffin boxes, and money worth up to ₹15,000 to influence voters in the Bengaluru teacher constituency elections. Narayanaswamy and a delegation led by JDS-NDA candidate A.P. Ranganath filed a complaint with election officials, demanding action against 17 Block Education Officers (BEOs) and other education department officials. He alleged that the coupons, which can be used at 'Lulu Mall' under the guise of Dasara wishes, carry values of ₹5,000, ₹10,000, and ₹15,000.
