Allegations of Discrimination Against Kannada Speakers in Bengaluru IT Jobs Surface

A video was shared on social media by a young woman alleging that Kannada speakers are not getting jobs in IT companies after mentioning Kannada as their mother tongue. She stated that IT companies in Bengaluru are giving more recognition to Telugu and Tamil speakers during recruitment. The video also mentioned that resumes listing Kannada as the mother tongue are rejected without direct consideration, and that campus interviews are not conducted in Bengaluru colleges, suggesting that employers are hiring workers from other places at lower salaries. The young woman appealed to Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar for a solution to this issue.
