AI cameras to track potholes, garbage spots in Bengaluru South City Corporation

The Bengaluru South City Corporation (BSCC) plans to deploy dashcam-fitted vehicles to identify and resolve garbage black spots, potholes, and other civic issues. During a pilot project last month, an AI camera-mounted vehicle surveyed 150 km of roads out of the 311 km under the corporation’s jurisdiction. The survey generated around 2,000 complaints, including 1,000 complaints related to garbage and black spots. Commissioner KN Ramesh directed marshals and junior health inspectors to resolve all 1,000 waste-related issues within 10 days.
