75-80 protesters detained during anti-SIR agitation near Town Hall

Around 75 to 80 protesters were detained and later released after police intervened during an attempted demonstration against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls near Town Hall in Bengaluru on Saturday evening. Activists alleged that police used force to remove them, leaving several with minor injuries and muscle pain. The protesters were taken to the Chamarajpet police station and released after approximately an hour.
