74% of firms expect to retain festive hires beyond peak season: Indeed

According to Indeed's Festive Season Outlook 2026, 74% of employers expect to retain at least 10% of their 2026 festive hires beyond the peak period. More than half of employers (53%) expect festive hiring to increase over 2025, with nearly seven in 10 (69%) expecting active hiring to begin by September. The report notes that nearly half (47%) of employers find finding candidates willing to work shifts, nights, or weekends to be the hardest part.
