3,500 philately passports sold at Bengaluru GPO, showing huge interest in stamp collectors

Bengaluru witnessed the sale of 3,500 philately passports at the General Post Office (GPO) on October 10 and 11. Enthusiasts gathered near the GPO as early as 2 am, with some arriving the previous night. Deputy Chief Postmaster Doddappa Itagi stated that the number of booklets was increased from 1,000 in July to 3,500 in October due to overwhelming response. Of the 3,500 booklets, 1,500 were sold on Saturday, and the remaining 2,000 were issued on Sunday.
