27.6 kg of cannabis seized from two passengers at Kempegowda International Airport

Customs officials seized 27.6 kg of hydroponic cannabis from two passengers who arrived at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) from Bangkok, Thailand. The officials stated that the cannabis was found while checking the two passengers in separate cases. Under the NDPS Act, the two passengers were detained and arrested. In the first case, Bengaluru Customs officials found 15.5 kg of hydroponic cannabis worth ₹5.43 crore from a passenger arriving from Bangkok. In the second case, 12.1 kg of hydroponic cannabis worth ₹4.24 crore was seized from a passenger's luggage from the same country. A total of 27.6 kg of narcotics was seized in both cases, and legal action has been taken against the arrested passengers under the NDPS Act.
