2,000 Government Schools to be Merged with Private Institutions: CM

Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar stated that 2,000 government schools will be merged with private schools to ensure quality education for children in rural areas. He also mentioned that in the first phase, 1,000 government schools will be merged with private schools, and the government will allow private schools to use the name of government schools if they develop them. Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa stated that private institutions should collaborate with the corporate sector to further strengthen the public education system.
