1,117 new officers appointed to hasten SIR process in Greater Bengaluru Authority limits

An additional 1,117 assistant electoral registration officers have been appointed under Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) limits. Special Commissioner (Election) Shilpa Nag stated that 814 hearing centres have been established for the electoral roll revision process in Bengaluru Urban district. With the appointment, the total number of functioning officers is now 1,193. As of now, hearings for 3,70,329 notices are pending.
